While I aim to capture at least one traditional portrait with everyone looking at the camera, the rest of the time I focus on documenting playful, candid moments that highlight your family’s connection. The beach is perfect for letting kids explore and be themselves—whether they’re running along the shoreline or finding treasures in the sand, their spontaneity often creates the most magical photos. Don’t worry if your kids aren’t perfectly cooperative; I actually prefer to let them lead! Release expectations, meet them where they are, and trust the process—you’ll be amazed at the memories we’ll create together.

1 HOUR SEEMS LIKE A LONG TIME… CAN YOU DO A SHORTER SESSION?
I’ve found that 1 hour is the ideal amount of time to ensure everyone feels comfortable, especially kids who may need a little warming up. This gives us the opportunity to capture both posed and candid moments that truly reflect your family’s connection. Sometimes, we finish earlier if everything comes together quickly, but I like to allow for a relaxed, unhurried experience. If you have less time to dedicate to a session, I do offer shorter options upon request (15 mins @ 150$ or 30 mins @ 300$).
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
The short answer is: whatever you want! Your outfits should reflect what you want the images to exude and/or everyone’s personalities. My go-to tips are: opt for coordinating styles and colors instead of matching, avoid logos, prioritize comfort, and choose low-maintenance outfits that allow you to enjoy the shoot without distractions.
WHERE/WHEN DOES THE PHOTOSHOOT TAKE PLACE?
We’ll decide on a meeting point on Samara Beach closer to the day of your session, taking into account the tide, time of year, and how busy the beach is. I schedule sessions at the end of the day when the light is soft and magical—typically around 4 PM, though the exact time may vary depending on the season.
THERE’S ALWAYS PHOTOSHOP, RIGHT?!
Yes, there is a lot that can be done in Photoshop, but I try to keep my images on the more natural side and will do some light retouching as needed. If you want some additional editing done, you can make these requests once you’ve received the images.
